After completing the classroom portion of the program, students participate in a rewarding externship in a professional healthcare coding/billing environment. During the externship, students gain hands-on instruction in all aspects of medical billing and coding. This experience enables students to make a smooth transition from on-the-job training to a career in the healthcare administration workplace.
